Marriage and Relationship Educators

Delegate Sponsorship: Applications now open

The MAREAA National Executive Committee is pleased to announce the offer of nine sponsorships, in three categories, to interested persons who would like to attend MARENC 2017. The National Executive views this as a positive way of developing the field of marriage and relationship education.

Sponsorship Category 1

For MAREAA members living in Victoria.

3 x subsidy of $589 for cost of registration (at the early bird rate)

Sponsorship Category 2

For MAREAA members living outside of Victoria

3 x $700 subsidy. This would be for use towards the cost of attending the conference such as registration, travel and accommodation.

The conditions for application for sponsorship categories 1 and 2 are that:

  1. The applicant is a current financial member of MAREAA
  2. The applicant is not in receipt of a full or partial subsidy to attend e.g. from their workplace or other organisation.
  3. The applicant is currently involved with the provision of marriage and relationship education.
  4. The applicant agrees to provide a written report (article) (approx. 500 words) for publication on the MAREAA website describing:
  • What they felt were the highlights of the conference
  • Some of the key messages they have taken from the conference presentations
  • How the conference has contributed to their development as an educator
  • How they will apply the new knowledge/skills/thinking in their work as an educator.

Sponsorship Category 3

For non-members anywhere in Australia

3 x $400 subsidy

The conditions for application for sponsorship category 3 are that:

  1. The applicant is not in receipt of a full or partial subsidy to attend e.g. from their workplace or other organisation
  2. The applicant is currently involved with the provision of marriage and relationship education
  3. The applicant agrees to provide a written report (article) (approx. 500 words) for publication on the MAREAA website describing:
  • What they felt were the highlights of the conference
  • Some of the key messages they have taken from the conference presentations
  • How the conference has contributed to their development as an educator
  • How they will apply the new knowledge/skills/thinking in their work as an educator.

Applicants are to apply with response to all conditions relevant to the category being applied for, indicating which category and emailed to secretary@mareaa.asn.au  by Sunday 24th September.

Members of the National Executive Committee will make the decision and will notify recipients and other applicants by COB Friday 29th September.

Should you wish to extend your stay beyond the conference dates, please email the Conference Secretariat at MAREAA@kaigi.com.au advising of the check-in and check-out dates and the room type you require. KAIGI will then make the booking on your behalf.
